Story Book

Story Time for Little One’s

Bring your little ones along to listen to story time in our Amphitheatre at 11:30am. Free activity for families. Stories include The Gruffalo, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Barry the Fish with Fingers and Zog.

Pre-school Event: “We’re Going On A Bear Hunt”

Join us for “We’re Going On A Bear Hunt” themed activities from 11am to 3pm in the Learning Space. Drop-in activities for parents, grandparents and carers with pre-school children. £3 per family. Suitable for aged 3+.

Family Music Workshop

Bring along the family and make junk model musical instruments. 10:30am to 12:00pm and 1:30pm to 3:00pm. Please book in advance by contacting Reception on 01536 512475 or email hello@wicksteedpark.org. The cost is £3 per child and the recommended age is 5 years+.

Bats and Boats

Join us in August at twilight to watch these fantastic creatures come out to forage and feed! You’ll be able to hear their calls using our bat detectors.
Meet at the Hump Back Bridge near the Lake where we will go out in the Ferry Boat or subject to numbers, rowing boats.
Suitable for children over 8 years and the ability to swim is advised, Dress warmly and please bring a torch!

PLEASE NOTE: due to the nature and time of the event, flying insects and creatures will be in the area. Midge repellent recommended!!

Bring the family along for a mini-beast safari in the Rose Garden. This is a drop in session between 11am-3pm. £3 per family. Recommended for children 3 years+.

National Bee Day

To celebrate National Bee Day, come along and make a bee wax candle and pebble paperweight. Please book through the Reception Team on 01536 512475 or email hello@wicksteedpark.org, workshops are held at 10:30am to 12pm and 1:30pm to 3pm. The cost is £3 per child and is suitable for age 5+

Outdoor Cinema: The Greatest Showman! Sing Along Version

NOW SOLD OUT!! We are SO excited to be putting on an Outdoor viewing of The Greatest Showman! Join us for a night under the stars watching Hugh Jackman playing the famous showman P.T. Barnum in this modern musical written by Sex and the City’s Jenny Lind. This sing along version has seen huge success worldwide and we can’t wait to watch and sing it with you!

Tickets:  Adults £12 , Children(U16) £8 and new VIP package £25*
