Please find below details of the 2010-2011 Wicksteed Education Programme. These events have been organised primarily by Wicksteed Park with, in some cases, considerable help from outside teaching bodies (listed by the events). Some like the Design Days have been running now for over 10 years.
All of the events have been produced to allow schools to enhance particular parts of their curriculum. There is also the opportunity for the children to have access to the paid for rides in the park giving an additional level to the learning process. Whilst the Wicksteed Park Charity Trust does make a considerable financial contribution, in some cases as high as 80%, all events do incur a cost.
